The Must-Have Life Contract Everyone Needs

With so many contracts available in the world today, how many exist to ensure your own aliveness?

There are so many legally binding contracts that exist in the world today. They exist in countless forms to protect our employment, protect our house, protect the loans we’ve taken out, protect the banks, the car, any and all valuables. They bind us so we make good on our word, so that we act and remain faithful.

But how many contracts do we take out on ourselves, for ourselves, in regards to our own value?

When was the last time you setup a contract to commit to yourself, for your own well-being? No judge, no attorney, just you and your own beating heart? Legally swearing yourself in, holding yourself accountable? How many deals, hand-shakes, smeared black ink, dotted lines have you signed and invested in for your own sanity, growth and enlightenment? The ones that legally bind you to better self-care, the ones that bring you more happiness, the ones that release all your own chains to your pain, suffering and attachments. The ones that vow to be faithful to your own recovery, your own sobriety or your own rights.

Everyone wants to be protected. Protected from liability, loss and theft. Protected from pain, sorrow and discomfort but why is it more important to protect the banks and things found outside yourself then it is to protect your own heart? Why isn’t it just as important to protect the rights to your own life story? Solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth to your own mind, your own bodies and your own spirit?

And what about all the colorless contracts you have made for yourself that keep you down? Or the ones you just accepted as your own, passed down to you that keep you uninspired and preventing your own growth? How many exist today simply because you haven’t taken the time to release yourself from them? The ones that don't deserve a renewal.

Today may you be reminded that you deserve to be here. Your dreams deserve their own contract. Your self-worth deserves a commitment. Your vision and goals must be signed off on, by you and no one else.

Because we all deserve to Rise.

One of my most favorite writers wrote the following piece. I am so in love with it I have now integrated it into all my coaching sessions asking all my clients to read this out loud together with me, resetting intention and purpose. In order to make new, sustainable and life altering commitments, first you must acknowledge what ones you are currently bound to that no longer serve you.

Begin here:

“I hereby break all contracts I made unconsciously or consciously in all dimensions and realms before I knew the depth of my own Spirit; the silent ones, the ones I inherited, passed down and accepted as my own from generation.

I hereby sever all ties with that which holds me down and back, in all dimensions and realms, unable to see the glimmer of what I know to be true whether by my own creation or by expectations tied like weights around my ankles by others lost in the sea of their own confused hearts.

I hereby reclaim my right to choose how my story unfolds, armed with creativity, a heart made of gold and reverent humility.

I hereby fully accept this living and what-is-yet-to-follow with brushing integrity and loving determination.

And I hereby swear to use my superpowers for the love of ALL beings and I return anything that no longer serves my higher and lower self (and any of the ones caught in between) with gratitude and consciousness.

I do this all with love from the great source of it found in my very own beating heart.

I declare myself ALIVE.”  ~Bryonie Wise
